Change of Focus: Seek Social Media Helps Musicians Get Social!

Hello Friends,

I want to let you all know of some changes that are coming to the Seek Social Media website and social media properties in the coming days.

I’ve made a decision to change the company’s client focus. I will continue to be a social media consultant, but rather than focus on small businesses, I’ll be focusing on musicians and music industry professionals.

That’s not to say that I won’t accept small business clients; I’m happy to work with clients in any field. However, the clients I’ll market to will be musicians and those in the industry. Since many of the same principles apply to musicians and small businesses, I hope that you’ll continue to visit the site, stay with the Facebook Page, and follow on Twitter.

Most of all, I hope you continue to find my content informative – and maybe just a bit more rhythmic. 😉

You may wonder why I’m making this change. To be perfectly honest, I’m returning to my roots! For 10+ years I worked in marketing and promotions in the music and film industries. I was privileged to learn the entertainment industry from the best of the best. While I left the business professionally for a while, my hands were still in the business – and, most importantly, so was my heart.

My passions are music and social media. I understand social media and the power it can have for businesses – and successful musicians realize that making music is, indeed, a business. I also understand the music industry, how to market music, and what it takes to be successful musician. This is why I’ve decided to merge my two loves and help musicians master social music marketing.

I’ll still post articles that are relevant to social media for business, especially as they apply to the music industry. Of course I’ll continue to post security alerts to help us all stay safe online. And…I’ll share some music as well!

Thanks for your continued support!
Carole

PS I’ll be hosting a FREE webinar for musicians and industry professionals who want to rock social media on Tuesday, July 31st. Details to be announced soon!

It just so happens that one of my best clients, and the reason I’ve been so remiss on Facebook these days, is a musician. Original classical music composer and pianist, Sharon Ruchman. Her website is: http://www.sharonruchman.com. Her talent is amazingly prolific. Never seen anything like it. She’s editing her 4th CD and already composing her 5th! Love her music. I wonder: she needs reviews from folks who have bought and listened to her CDs. Should she return to ReverbNation? Or, where do you recommend she turn for that? What is your overall advice?

    Thanks, Seek Social Media!
